allwebcafe Creates New Online Experience for The Golf Course at Glen Mills

allwebcafe, a digital marketing agency, recently created a new online experience for The Golf Course at Glen Mills, a public 18-hole course located outside of Philadelphia in historic Thornbury Township. The course, which was designed by Bobby Weed and named as one of Golf Digest’s “100 Greatest Public Golf Courses in America,” now provides avid golfers with an online experience to match its already award-winning reputation on the greens.

“The folks at allwebcafe took the time to understand our business needs and seek out the nuances of what makes our course remain one of the top-rated in the country,” says Paul Stuhlmiller, General Manager of The Golf Course at Glen Mills. “The result is a website that provides an immediate impact and that continues to promote and create business 24 hours a day.”

With a fresh, modern design – including stunning full-color photography that visually transports visitors to the venue – the website now enables golfers to view rates and schedule tee times virtually, as well as make online purchases in the pro shop. Golfers can now also download the course’s official scorecard in advance, which details the course and slope ratings, as well as playing recommendations by handicap.

Social media elements were also integrated into the site that allows news and up-to-the-minute specials to be broadcast on Twitter and Facebook.

“We were fortunate to interview the golf course designer Bobby Weed, who is one of the most respected course designers in the world,” says Stephen Williams, CEO of allwebcafe. “His vision for a rugged, but elegant environment carved out of the landscape became a focus of the online design. It was important that we showcased the natural beauty of the golf course through a user experience that gives golfers a real sense of what they can expect – from the greens to the club house.”
